Views from the House

It's been just over a year since we've moved in, and we are enjoying the house.  Here are some views from the house.

We could see the rising warm water vapor coming from the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Plant Cooling Towers, located about 60 miles toward the west.  It made for a lovely sunset.

More House Progress

The installers finished putting the appliances into the kitchen.  And the alarm company installed the alarm. When I stopped by the house this evening, the sun was setting and made the colors so vivid on the fresh paint.  Looking forward to the final completion.

 

Courtyard Wall

Things are moving along. Last week, they built the wall around the courtyard in front of the den.  The tilers are finishing up and the plumber is topping out with the fixtures.

Sunset on Summer Solstice

Not much was done on the house today, but we were able to enjoy a lovely sunset on this evening of the Summer Solstice.

Drywall Taping Plus

Work has begun taping the drywall, installing the exterior doors, putting up the wood beams in the family room, and starting the lath on the stem walls.  Lots of activity this week!

Not too much visible progress to report on the house. The framers are still finishing up.  We met with the Electrician and Light Lady today to verify the light placement on the plans.  After finalizing with them, we were treated to this nice sunset.
